Air cooler sizing

Plan your air cooler around your room.

Measure the space and check humidity and ventilation before comparing models. Tank litres alone cannot tell you which cooler fits your room.

Start with your space

Enter floor area in square feet and ceiling height in feet. For a rectangular room, floor area = length × width. These details help you ask about model suitability.

Your planning checklist

Room volume

Add a positive room area and ceiling height to calculate volume.

Volume describes your room. It is not a cooler capacity or coverage recommendation.

Climate check

Check the humidity where and when you plan to use the cooler. Share your city and usual conditions with MoonAir before choosing a model.

Ventilation check

Identify where fresh air can enter and moist air can leave. Check the exact model’s placement and ventilation instructions before buying.

Before you compare models

Note sun exposure, people, equipment and where the cooler can stand. Check listed airflow, dimensions and any stated coverage for the exact model. Confirm missing specifications with MoonAir.

Use your checklist to compare coolers

This planner does not assign room-fit scores or infer coverage from tank size. Browse the ranges, open the exact model’s specifications and confirm its suitability for your space.

Domestic air coolers

Explore the home range. Check placement dimensions, listed airflow, tank capacity and access for refilling and cleaning.

Commercial air coolers

Explore models for shops and workspaces. Share the layout and occupied area when confirming airflow and placement.

Confirm the fit before ordering

Have your room length, width, ceiling height, city, ventilation and preferred model names ready when you contact MoonAir. Your entries here are not sent to support automatically.

Air cooler sizing questions

Can room area select the right air cooler?

Room area is a starting point. Add ceiling height, humidity, ventilation and heat sources, then confirm the exact model’s airflow and any stated coverage. This planner calculates room volume and prepares a checklist; it does not rank models or guarantee cooling coverage.

Does a larger water tank mean a cooler covers a larger room?

Tank litres describe water storage. They do not establish airflow or verified room coverage. Check model specifications separately and ask MoonAir to confirm suitability where information is missing.

What should I ask before choosing a cooler for a humid or closed room?

Ask whether direct evaporative cooling is suitable for your local humidity and whether you can provide a path for fresh air in and moist air out. High humidity and a fully sealed room limit suitability; a larger tank does not remove those limitations.
